Blackberry has announced its decision to expand its trademark Blackberry Messenger, making it a multi-platform application.
Blackberry CEO Thorsten Heins made the announcement at Blackberry Live on Tuesday, saying BBM was going to be a free for download application on Android and iOS this summer.
“We are confident that the time is right for BBM to become a multiplatform messaging solution,” said Heins.
