Professor Chinua Achebe Dies at 82

Chinua Achebe, one of the world’s most celebrated writers and author of the classic novel Things Fall Apart, is dead.
SaharaReporters learned that Achebe, who was the David and Mariana Fisher Professor of Literature at Brown University, died last night in a hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. Professor Achebe had been sick for some time.
He was 82 years old

One of d most respectable,prolific writer of our time,Dead?Quiet unbelievable,d man whom after Zik of Africa,I duff my hat for,so harsh wit words,but humble @ heart,ur latest work,”There was a Country”,stil reverberates in my subconscious mind,cuz it a gav me an insight into ur early life,hw u eventually embraced or did wat I attribute as a cross-over,frm core sciences to Arts,which finally shot u into lime light,nominated and given national awards twice,if I’m not mistaken,u turned both down….May ur Indefatigable soul rest in Perfect peace,Amen!!!
