Oh CAF has done it again. Last night Ivorian international and Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure won the GLO CAF award for African Footballer of the Year. While Toure was instrumental to the success of Man City winning the league, I feel his Ivorian counterpart, Didier Drogba achieved more.
Drogba was the catalyst in Chelsea’s resurgence in the Champions League. He not only scored against Barca, he scored in the final against Bayern Munich which took the game to penalty shoot-out. Drogba also scored in the FA Cup Final to bring the trophy to Stamford Bridge.
Some say Drogba’s move to China didn’t help his cause. Well what do you think? Does Yaya Toure deserve the award or Drogba?
